- This article is a stub requiring expansion.
- Similar to but not advertising, not marketing, nor selling anything, rather it is sharing and raising awareness of merit-earned recommendations, primarily under-seen alt-sites and indie-media.
- Starting with lists of alternatives, forums, indie-media, platforms, social media, and solutions web-sites.
- Participants will co-promote listees and be promoted by other participants.
- Participants will display the simple small advert-like embedded FLOSS frame on participating websites somewhere (in the banner, sidebox, footer, etc.)
- The purpose is to raise awareness folks may not have heard of - about alternatives, content, info, issues, media, research, resources, sites, solutions, and topics.
- The simple little ad-like addon will be:
- a small 200x200 GIF, APNG, or PNG file non-video
- a slideshow only showing a 1) logo 2) short write-up, and 3) link to recommended participant sites
- FLOSS
- not fancy and not video
- Folks should be able to compile, edit, and share their own recommendation lists.
- Folks should be able to vote for their favourite recommendation lists.
- Folks should be able to organize and classify the recommendation lists.
- Topical recommendation lists of topical sites may be better for categories/communities/groups/spaces/subs/topics/etc.
