Fringe Deplorables Web Ring concept proposal

  1. Similar to but not advertising, not marketing, nor selling anything, rather it is sharing and raising awareness of merit-earned recommendations, primarily under-seen alt-sites and indie-media.
  2. Starting with lists of alternatives, forums, indie-media, platforms, social media, and solutions web-sites.
  3. Participants will co-promote listees and be promoted by other participants.
  4. Participants will display the simple small advert-like embedded FLOSS frame on participating websites somewhere (in the banner, sidebox, footer, etc.)
  5. The purpose is to raise awareness folks may not have heard of - about alternatives, content, info, issues, media, research, resources, sites, solutions, and topics.
  6. The simple little ad-like addon will be:
    • a small 200x200 GIF, APNG, or PNG file non-video
    • to recommended participant sites a slideshow only showing:
      1. logo
      2. short write-up
      3. link
    • FLOSS
    • not fancy and not video - as complex as necessary while as simple as possible
  7. Folks should be able to compile, edit, and share their own recommendation lists.
  8. Folks should be able to vote for their favourite recommendation lists.
  9. Folks should be able to organize and classify the recommendation lists.
  10. Topical recommendation lists of topical sites may be better for categories/communities/groups/spaces/subs/topics/etc.
example: For a sub like /s/VaccineInjuries you'd want to share health aid, alternatives, practices, remedies, resources, solutions, etc.
