Kim Iversen (born 1980) is an American journalist, radio host, and political commentator. She is known for hosting the nationally syndicated radio programs Your Time with Kim Iversen (United Stations Radio Networks) and The Rendezvous with Simon and Kim (Premiere Networks), co-hosting the web series Rising on The Hill from 2021 to 2022, and hosting The Kim Iversen Show on YouTube and Rumble.<ref name="Statesman">Template:Cite news</ref><ref name="AllAccess2010">Template:Cite web</ref><ref name="OhioMedia2014">Template:Cite web</ref><ref name="AP-Rumble">Template:Cite news</ref><ref name="RR2009">Template:Cite magazine</ref>

Early life and education

Iversen was born in Boise, Idaho.<ref name="AllAccess2010" /> Her mother is a Vietnamese refugee and her father is the son of a small-town farmer.<ref>Template:Cite AV media</ref> As a teenager, she played drums.<ref name="AllAccess2010" /> She studied philosophy (with an emphasis on ethics) and music at the University of California, Davis.<ref name="AllAccess2010" /> While in college, she interned at radio stations KDVS, KDND, and KWOD in Sacramento.<ref name="AllAccess2010" />

Career

Radio career

Iversen began her broadcasting career in college as a news reporter at KDVS in Davis, California.<ref name="AllAccess2010" /> She interned at KDND in Sacramento, served in promotions and on-air weekends at KWOD-hosting for "106.5 KWOD Alternative"-and worked as a news and traffic reporter at KCTC in Sacramento.<ref name="AllAccess2010" /> After graduating, she moved to New York City and freelanced as a news reporter for News 12 Networks and as a VJ for Concert TV.<ref name="AllAccess2010" /> She co-hosted mornings at WAZY-FM in Lafayette, Indiana, as part of "The WAZY Wake-Up Crew with Big Jake and Kim Iversen,"<ref name="AllAccess2010" /> and hosted "Kim Iversen Mornings" at WQQB in Champaign, Illinois, from 2007 to 2008.<ref name="AllAccess2010" />

In April 2008, Iversen launched the nationally syndicated lifestyle program Your Time with Kim Iversen through United Stations Radio Networks (now part of Audacy) and Entercom, based out of KAMX in Austin, Texas.<ref name="Statesman" /><ref name="AllAccess2010" /><ref name="RR2009" /> The interactive call-in show, targeting women, aired weeknights from 7 p.m. to midnight and featured listener advice, celebrity interviews, and expert discussions, including segments such as "The Why Chromosome," "Mascara Monologues," "Psychic Insights," and "Drama Detox."<ref name="Statesman" /><ref name="AllAccess2010" /> It was broadcast in markets including Portland, Denver, Austin, Milwaukee, Memphis, Indianapolis, Norfolk, Buffalo, Wichita, Fargo, Rapid City, Nashville, Chico-Redding, Dayton, Ohio, and Greenville, North Carolina.<ref name="AllAccess2010" /><ref name="RR2009" />

Rising (2021–2022)

In July 2021, Iversen joined Rising on The Hill in a newly created independent/anti-establishment seat. Independent media

Iversen launched her independent YouTube channel The Kim Iversen Show on January 11, 2019.<ref name="AP-Rumble" /> The channel, which focuses on independent political commentary, has over 724,000 subscribers and 106 million views as of December 2025.<ref>Template:Cite web</ref> Following her departure from Rising, she signed an exclusive streaming deal with Rumble, where the show now airs live weekdays at 5 p.m. ET.<ref name="AP-Rumble" />

Awards
