The casual Wednesday-Minor meeting at Brown's Lounge went well.

We took a tour of http://Projex.Wiki with it's articles, listicles, projects, resources, and Windsor stuff.

We discussed many issues we're all familiar with.

We discussed the Million Person March in September.

We discussed printing up T-shirts, pins, and other things.

We determined that, long overdue, we were going actually start organizing a Windsor and Essex County calendar and newsletter project for everyone interested to participate in. The calendar will be an aggregation of events and information for all communities to easily reference. The newsletters will be easily found online and available for anyone to link, download, modify (if they wish), print out, and distribute with or without other material like Druthers. We aim to invite all groups to contribute content (action folks, charities, faiths, freedom folks, indie-media, political parties, politicians, preppers, and other resources). The editorial process will have to be developed.

At the Leamington Thursday meeting (August 10th) they were thrilled to hear about it and suggest it be expanded to South-Western Ontario, as the farmers are less centrally focused. (The Leamington group currently meets once a month, with community discussions, invited speakers, and interests in growing healthy food, wellness, prepping, and most of our common interests like most groups.)

The folks at the Puce Tuesday meetings (August 15th) are also keen. (The Puce groups meets every other week, the first at 5:30 on self-sovereignty, Common Law (legal vs lawful), voluntaryism, etc., followed at 7:00 with a focus on health, nutrition, alternatives to corporate medicine, etc. along with invited speakers, community discussions, and our common interests like most groups.)

I've started outlining some of the calendar and newsletter ideas here: South-Western Ontario calendar and newsletter (or https://Projex.Wiki/wiki/Calendar) These projects have working-titles and soon we may have a naming contests.

Please feel free to participate ideas and/or join Projex.Wiki to create content, develop projects, and edit resources. Unfortunately due to bot spamming http://Projex.Wiki is currently request only - so please ask for a user account by emailing me with whatever username you'd prefer, MJasonCarswell@Gmail.com. I'll send you a temporary password that you can change. Using any wiki is a lot easier that you'd think.

We did not develop an agenda or plan for the next meeting.

Brown's Lounge is closed this coming Wednesday so, last minute, folks may have our third-Wednesday-Major meeting at the Optimists Park pavilion (where we met before).

We may do a BBQ, potluck, or something. This is up to you folks. Sorry about this being less than 24 hours, again.

I hope to see your smiles and freedom spirits there.

It's been a busy few weeks for me (outlining freedom ideas, landlord issues, getting gear and organizing a 2D animation curriculum and job placements in September, and lost of other stuff).

Announcements

Animation classes + job placements

I (Jason Carswell) will be teaching a nine-day introductory 2D animation class at the Windsor Media Centre on the fundamentals of animation, traditional animation on paper (cels), traditional animation on computers, design-in-motion and design-over-time, compositing, editing, etc. Job placements may follow the 9-day class. The nine days are Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays during the first 3 weeks of September, 2023. (4th,5th,6th + 11th,12th,13th + 18th,19th,20th) Unemployed folks take priority if the class size is too large (government funded). For more details and developments visit https://Projex.Wiki/wiki/Animation.

Freedom housing, short term

I'm being harassed by my landlord (who can get twice as much from a new tenant) and am considering better housing situations. Please contact me if you know of anything cheap and modest for one, ideally with storage space. Depending on the results of this 4th attempt to evict me, I may need a new home for October.

Freedom housing, long term

Freedom minded or not, more folks than ever will find themselves squeezed out of their comfortable paradigms, so we must prepare.

For the longer term, I and others would like to find a large freedom home to collectively rent and/or buy - in the city or on a farm. Ideally, we'd like to nurture a large organic garden, have organized storage, have space to develop and work on projects, and have space to host social events - small and intimate, or perhaps larger if space permits and if we all agree. We'll solidify house rules, property guides, contracts, etc. in a codified association long before we take on a place. This may include older folks who may need care and/or kids education pods free of corporatocracy agendas. Starting with one "freedom home collective" experiment we might learn the pros and cons and how to effectively expand our community's ability to help each other, manage resources, thrive, and maintain freedom in the face of rising tyranny.

Private Health/Medical Clinic

The Puce group's Rene and associates and doctors are planning a private medical/health clinic with a private membership association. They're starting simply for a low overhead to keep costs low and affordable, possibly starting at $100/month or $1000/year.
