Cancer may be benign (not harmful), but is an often a fatal disease consisting of living cells damaged, malfunctioning, replicating uncontrollably, and not responding properly within the host organism. Many forms of cancer exist, with some variants limited to the organ where it manifests, while other cancers may spread within the entire body.

Causes

Carcinogens

Cancer stems from damage to healthy cells. A chemical which can cause such a chance is referred to as a carcinogen. Ionising radiation is another potential cause of such damage. Iraq has the highest rates of cancer in the world (all types except for liver cancer), concomitant with use of depleted uranium by occupying forces.^{[ Citation needed ]}

Chemo

Radiation and or drugs are often used to treat cancer. Raw white button mushrooms cause cancer

White button mushrooms (Agaricus bisporus^{[ Wikipedia ]}) are a proven carcinogen when eaten raw. Most mushrooms should be cooked before eating. Parasitic infections are sometimes misdiagnosed as cancers, and they can also spread similarly in the body. Alkaline blood pH won't cure parasitic infections, so it's another variable to consider.
