		This "False Flags In Movies And Television" list was posted on WatchMojo.com years ago by User:JasonCarswell with unverified additions from some folks. Some of WatchMojo suggestions were off target so now there's a brief list of what are not false flags but are similar. It's now openly editable by InfoGalaxians and has been posted on SaidIt and if they do not edit this page directly they may comment on SaidIt and eventually it can be transcribed here. A false flag operation is an act committed with the intent of disguising the actual source of responsibility and pinning blame on another party. The term is popular amongst conspiracy theory promoters in referring to covert operations of various governments and cabals. The term "false flag" originated in the 16th century as a purely figurative expression to mean "a deliberate misrepresentation of someone's affiliation or motives". It was later used to describe a ruse in naval warfare whereby a vessel flew the flag of a neutral or enemy country in order to hide its true identity. The tactic was originally used by pirates and privateers to deceive other ships into allowing them to move closer before attacking them. It later was deemed an acceptable practice during naval warfare according to international maritime laws, provided the attacking vessel displayed its true flag once an attack had begun. The term today extends to include countries that organize attacks on themselves and make the attacks appear to be by enemy nations or terrorists, thus giving the nation that was supposedly attacked a pretext for domestic repression and foreign military aggression. Similarly deceptive activities carried out during peacetime by individuals or non governmental organizations can (by extension) also be called false flag operations, but the more common legal term is a "frameup", "stitch up", or "setup". To avoid confusion about what a false flag is, this is a short list of what are NOT False Flags but could be combined with other factors. An authentic attack, even if lured, pressured, or forced. Pearl Harbor was authentically attacked by the Japanese and was not a false flag. The contrasting 9/11 event was orchestrated by inside Western-Zionist cabals and it was a false flag because authorities blamed the profoundly criminal event on just 19 fringe-extremist hijackers, 15 of which were Saudis, meanwhile they returned with full-scale warfare upon the entire nations of innocent civilians in Afghanistan and Iraq who had nothing to do with any of it. black op, a top secret black operation may or may not utilize false flags as part of their cover. Confidence tricks or crime rackets are not necessarily false flags, but it is deception to scam or fraud, a similar circumstance where something is not as it appears nor as sold/told to be. Confidence tricks in film and television Confidence (2003 film) The Sting, 1973 covert op deception, lies, fake news, etc. decoy, bait, bait and switch, etc. disguises, false identities, wearing enemy uniforms, impostors, proxies, etc Ocean's Eleven, 2001 The Princess Bride (film), 1987, the Dread Pirate Roberts is and is not who he claims, simultaneously. Star Wars IV A New Hope, 1977, Luke and Han dress as storm trooper, a disguise in an enemy uniform to penetrate enemy territory, is similar to a false flag but he does not do any action and then blame it on storm troopers. False accusations are not necessarily false flags. She also learns he was the one who initiated the conflict by killing the leader of the Northuldra. Elsa sends this information to Anna before becoming frozen due to venturing into the most dangerous part of Ahtohallan.

A decoy is deception but is not a false flag. @ 1h42m+ = The "HMS Surprise" British war ship becomes the "Syren" whaler by changing their appearance with civilian wardrobe, fabric coverings over the bowsprit and figurehead, a new paint job on the stern, literally raising a false flag, and making black smoke (as if they were processing a whale) luring the "Acheron" French frigate close to be catch it off guard.

The explosion would force Europe into seeking unilateral disarmament in the belief that the bomb belonged to the US and was detonated at the airbase accidentally, leaving the unprotected borders open to a Soviet invasion.

023		Terminator (franchise)	1984-2019	In the Terminator franchise the sentient AI Skynet triggers a nuclear Armageddon by launching a nuclear attack on Russia, who retaliates with a nuclear attack on NATO, allowing the machines to take over the ruined world.
024	100px	The Boys (2019 TV series)	2019	Based on the even more edgy The Boys comics, about superpowered people who abuse their abilities. S01E06 = It's discovered that the Vought corporation makes Compound-V (superhero serum) boosted terrorists to push militarization of supers under Vought control. Vought manufactures, supports, and unleashes terrorist enemies, blames the terrorists, and sells the public their solutions - just as the CIA, deep state, and Western Allies fund and support Al-Qaeda and ISIS while demanding more taxpayer money for military "protection".
025		The Expanse (TV series)	2015	Based on the even more edgy The Expanse novel series, set in a future where humanity has colonized the Solar System and follows a disparate band of antiheroes. S01E03 = This episode includes a false flag and is even titled "Remember the Cant", obviously referencing the common phrase "Remember the Maine!" which was intentionally destroyed as a catalyst starting the Spanish–American War. The Outer Planets Alliance (OPA) blames Mars for the destruction of the Canterbury. On Earth, Avasarala tests her theory that Mars was behind the attack by leaking to Mars information about the transfer of Martian stealth technology to the OPA. @ 32:30 (of 43:06) She deduces from the panicked Martian reaction that Mars was not responsible – but that somebody else wants to start a war. Aboard the Martian warship Donnager, the Canterbury's survivors are detained and questioned, with Nagata in particular being suspected of being part of an OPA sleeper cell.

027	100px	The Little Drummer Girl	1984	As Charlie delivers the briefcase to the "peacenik" target, Professor Minkel, the Mossad, who have been monitoring the situation, have the briefcase whisked away by a man in a bomb suit. Charlie returns to Khalil, and they drive away after the large building explosion that she knows is a false flag event harming no one, although the evening news reports casualties to fool Khalil. He is not easily disarmed, however, and fails to fall asleep as planned. He grows suspicious by the extreme quiet around their country refuge.

029	100px	Tom Clancy's Jack Ryan (TV series)	2018	In the 2019 second season of Tom Clancy's Jack Ryan, an American senator is ambushed and killed in front of Jack Ryan, in episode one. In episode two, the evil (propaganda) Venezuelan president tells Jack that they found the rebel group, and killed all but two who confessed and will be in prison forever more. Jack, our CIA hero, doesn't believe this false flag deception lie and tells the Venezuelan president that he knows the president killed Jimmy.
