3) be displayed on participating websites somewhere, in the banner, sidebox, footer, etc.
4) co-promote listees and be promoted by others with the simple small advert-like embedded FLOSS frame.
5) have the simple little ad-like addon just be nothing fancier than a small PNG slideshow of non-video logos with short write-ups and a link to the site.
6) not exactly be advertising but will be earned recommendations through merit.
7) have the ability for folks to vote on their favourites and can edit to make their own lists.
8) organize and classify the lists to share.
9) topical lists of topical sites may be better for categories/communities/groups/spaces/subs/topics/etc.
10) not be selling anything but awareness about alternative web-sites, by simply featuring a non-video logo, short writeup, and link to listed participants.
11) be like the old Ring-Of-Fire.
